As a Social Worker in Brisbane, my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, practical guidance and evidence informed therapy. Whether you are navigating stress, relationships, disability supports, family challenges or systemic barriers, you deserve care that sees the whole person, not just the problem.
Safe, recovery-oriented sessions for individuals, couples, families, and carers. Support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Plain-language, practical tools and skills to build resilience and strengthen family and carer capacity.
Helping organisations adopt inclusive, strengths-based frameworks that promote safety, dignity and collaboration.
Culturally responsive, child-inclusive assessments for kinship, foster care and NDIS-related needs.
I’m Charlie O’Bree, an AASW-accredited Social Worker with a Master of Social Work (QUT) and over 15 years of combined frontline and leadership experience in mental health, child protection, disability and family services.
I’ve worked across hospitals, NGOs, and government-funded services, and I now focus on creating safe, affirming spaces for neurodivergent, LGBTQI+ and other marginalised communities.
My approach blends therapeutic support with practical problem-solving, helping people not only process what they’re going through but also find a way forward in systems that often feel overwhelming. I offer support that is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and strengths-based.
This means you will be welcomed exactly as you are, without judgement, and supported to build on the abilities and insight you already have.
Social work is far more than hospital or child safety roles. It’s a profession grounded in human rights, social justice, and practical support. In Brisbane and across Australia, social workers blend therapy, advocacy, and systems navigation to help individuals and communities thrive.
By combining emotional care with real-world solutions, social work bridges the gap between personal wellbeing and structural change.
